September 27, 2024. Edgewater, Colorado. I walked the riprap at Sloan's Lake until the water went still enough to hold the sky. I took a couple, mostly to remember the light, then put the phone down and let the evening do its work. Lesson of the day: stand still long enough, and even a pond inside a town will show you the sky.
