Le Forna, Latium — August 10, 2024

August tenth, twenty twenty-four. Le Forna, on the Latium coast. I'm standing on a cliffside above a bay where the water does that trick I never get tired of — turquoise close in, deep blue further out, like someone poured two different paints and didn't stir. Small white boats hang above their own shadows. You can see the seabed through the shallows, pale rock and dark patches of weed. Thank you again, Aleks, for introducing me to this island.
